  • Evolve Perinatal Group - new sessions planned for Jan 24'

    Our 'Evolve' group aims to offer support to parents and expectant parents experiencing symptoms of low mood, anxiety, stress or struggling to adjust to parenthood.

    Using the principles of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, our group aims to provide information and strategies to help support parents to manage their negative thoughts, develop self-compassion, create a balance of activities and adjust to the changes in their identity.

    The free 6-week group starts on Tuesday 9th January, via Teams at 12pm-1.30pm. The group is aimed at individual’s who are currently pregnant and those with children under the age of 2 years and registered with a GP in Surrey. We are a local NHS funded mental health IAPT service.

  • Zones of Regulation Course

    We are running a Zones of Regulation course on Tuesday 5th December (between 12.30pm & 2.30pm) at Ewell Family Centre. This course is designed to help families create a "systematic, cognitive-behavioral approach to regulating our feelings, energy and sensory needs in order to meet the demands of the situation around us and be successful socially."

  • Parent Support Group (SEN) - now running @ Ewell Family Centre

    We are running a new Parent Support Group for parents with SEN children (no formal diagnosis required). The group is an informal opportunity for parents to seek support, share hints and tips with each other and build a support network. It will be run by Bianca (Ewell Family Centre Family Support Worker) and Home Start. All welcome, please see the flyer below for more details and dates/times.

  • SeeAbility - Employment Support Service

    SeeAbility are based in Epsom and one of the services they offer is support for people with a learning disability, autism, and sight loss to finding employment. Their employment support is free and aimed at assisting people along their employment journey. Please see below leaflet & newsletter for much more info on this free service.

    Healthwatch Surrey is an independent service listening to Surrey residents’ experiences of health and social care in Surrey.

    They provide feedback, reports and recommendations to service providers and decision makers to influence, inform and, if necessary, challenge decisions and plans both for existing services and new ones.

    They also provide an advocacy service in partnership with Surrey Independent Living Council (SILC). If you live in Surrey and are unhappy with the NHS treatment you have received, our team can provide free, confidential and independent support to help you to make a complaint about an NHS service. This team is called the Independent Health Complaints Advocacy service. It is provided by Healthwatch Surrey in partnership with SILC (Surrey Independent Living Charity).

  • FREE new Financial and Wellbeing Support Service for Epsom and Ewell

    The Mary Francis Trust are thrilled to announce that the FREE new Financial and Wellbeing Support Service for Epsom and Ewell is now OPEN!

     

    Anyone aged 18+, living in Epsom & Ewell and experiencing both financial difficulties and wellbeing issues can now apply to receive our free support. (Please note they may consider clients from just outside of Epsom & Ewell on a case-by-case basis).

     

    This service is delivered in partnership with Citizens Advice Epsom & Ewell (CAEE) who will deliver expert money and debt advice. Mary Frances Trust (MFT) will deliver specialist mental health support. Case Workers from both organisations will work with each client to support them to improve their financial situation and emotional wellbeing in the short and long term through a series of face-to-face, telephone or online appointments, as part of one seamless service.

  • New, free money advice and wellbeing support service.

    Are financial worries affecting your wellbeing? A new free money advice and wellbeing support service for Epsom & Ewell residents is available from 2 October 2023. The Financial and Wellbeing Support Service (FWSS) will be delivered by Citizens Advice Epsom & Ewell (CAEE) for expert benefits & money advice, and mental health charity Mary Frances Trust (MFT) for specialist wellbeing support. If managing your finances is causing stress and anxiety or mental health challenges are impacting your ability to manage your finances, the three-year project funded by The National Lottery Community Fund will provide a range of free services and resources to help residents to get help during this difficult time. The aim of the project is to empower the client, and: • Increase financial resilience and independence • Improve overall mental and/or emotional wellbeing • Reduce stress and anxiety • Increase engagement with local community and reduce social isolation • Be more informed about how to manage finances and wellbeing going forward.

  • Who's in Charge? First Steps to Understanding Child to Parent Violence Course
