Parent Support Group (SEND)
Tuesdays 13.30 - 14.30
We are running a new Parent Support Group for parents with SEN children (no formal diagnosis required). The group is an informal opportunity for parents to seek support, share hints and tips with each other and build a support network. It will be run by Bianca (Ewell Family Centre Family Support Worker) and Home Start. All welcome, please see the flyer below for more details and dates/times.
Parenting Surgery
Tuesdays 09.00-12.00
This is a drop in session for parents/carer's to seek advice, information and support from our team of outreach and family support workers on all aspects of parenting.
(Behaviour support, setting boundaries, managing feelings, family conflict, co-parenting, domestic abuse & SEN support & much more)
Parenting PowerPoint
Our outreach team have created a PowerPoint presentation with voiceover, offering an introduction to children's behaviour and how to manage it positively.

Positive Parenting Course - April 23rd
Do you feel you are always nagging, and no one is listening? Is there more anger and tears, than fun and laughter? Home Start will be holding a Positive Parenting workshop based on the Parenting Puzzle 10-week programme. This workshop introduces positive strategies to guide and teach children, using praise, encouragement, and empathy, to build self-esteem, confidence, and cooperation. This workshop helps you deal with the challenges of parenting so that you can have a calmer, happier life.

First Steps to Understanding Masking in your Child Workshop with SAL
Explore the diverse ways and environments in which your child may mask, discuss expert views on masking and consider techniques/methods which you may use at home to support your child and your broader family.

First Steps to Understanding my Neurodivergent Child with SAL - 3-week course
A 3-week course designed to help parents/carers understand Neurodiversity within children. It helps to develop an understanding of terms, key features, and behaviour of neurodiversity. This course also covers strategies on how to support Neuro-diverse children through the development of supportive techniques and language.

Zones of Regulation
We are running a Zones of Regulation course on Wednesday 17th January 10.00 - 11.30am (@ Ewell Family Centre) and again on Wednesday 6th March 09.30 0 11.00am (@ Epsom Family Centre). This course is designed to help families create a "systematic, cognitive-behavioral approach to regulating our feelings, energy and sensory needs in order to meet the demands of the situation around us and be successful socially."

Dealing with Difficult Emotions with Home Start
Does your child get anxious and overwhelmed easily? Do they exhibit angry outbursts and meltdowns? We are all emotional beings and sometimes these emotions can be overwhelming. This workshop helps to address these emotions and teaches ways to manage and express emotions safely
